Flying to Jinan, you could instead take an airport shuttle bus or taxi to the city center and then a local train to Qufu or the little further away Yanzhou.

Arriving at either Qufu station (10km away), Qufu East station (20km away) or Yanzhou station (25km away), someone from the school can come to pick you up (without charge).

By bus

It is also possible to take a bus from Beijing to Jinan (8 hours) and from Jinan a local bus to Qufu (3 hours), but bus station and information can be more difficult to find if you do not speak Chinese so going by train may be easier and faster.

Travelling in China, it is useful to have a Chinese Mandarin phrase book with you and the names of your destinations in Chinese as you can point to these when you want to go somewhere.
