I originally planed on studying in Qufu for 3 months for Shaolin Kung Fu. After my first month i knew I would want to stay longer than that, and ended up staying for 9months. Could easily have stayed longer, but i must return home and work.
The skills of the masters are simply an awesome sight. Being patient with westerners, one can learn much from them, Besides being in Kung Fu, they are genuinely good people.
Of you are someone about than a lot of good can come from it. It isn't easy, but none of it is impossible a, and it has all been done before.
Qufu is a nice city to live in. Not too big and not too small. The school itself isn't in the heart of the city, but on the outskirts which is a nice environment for the training.
The summer can be very hot, and the winter can be very cold to say this is a Kung Fu School. One should be willing to endure some hardships during their sty here.
